Garden Landscaping
Garden landscaping brings together every stone category: ground cover for beds and borders, gravel for paths, …
Every stone in a landscape does one of three jobs: covers ground (pebbles, gravel), creates structure (larger garden stone), or draws the eye (accent stone). Decide the job first — it eliminates most of the catalog immediately.
Light stone brightens shade and contrasts with foliage; dark stone suits contemporary architecture; mixed tones suit naturalistic gardens. Check color in person or by physical sample — screens misrepresent stone more than almost any other material.
Underfoot areas need angular, compactable material. Slopes need stone that locks together. Beds need depth coverage over membrane. Water features need washed stone. Each application rules some options out.
Compare cost per finished square metre at your required depth, including freight to your destination — not price per tonne alone. Heavy, cheap stone can be expensive to ship; light, premium stone may cost less landed than it looks.
