白色 pebbles are unforgiving in a way grey or mixed-colour stone is 不会. Any iron staining, dust retained from crushing, clay contamination or over-washed fines shows instantly against a light background, 和 your end customer will see it the moment the bags are stacked at a retail site or spread around a hotel pool. The same batch that looks acceptable in a factory photo can arrive with yellow tinge, broken shells or a dust film that turns the stone grey in the bag.
That sensitivity is exactly why the vetting sequence matters more for white stone than for any other colour. A supplier who processes 和 grades 白色鹅卵石 properly can prove it in small, cheap ways — a real sample, a live loading video, a consistent grading sheet. A re-bagger or trading desk that buys leftovers from several yards cannot keep those proofs consistent, because it does 不会 control the washing 和 grading that produce them.
Most enquiries get back a PDF catalogue 和 a price list. Ask instead for four specific items: photographs of the current washing 和 screening line running, a photo of stock in the yard taken that week with a handwritten date card in frame, the grading sheet for the exact size you are buying (for example 20–40 mm) showing the tolerance bands, 和 a physical sample cut from current stock rather than from a showcase drawer.
How a supplier responds to a specific evidence request tells you more than the evidence itself. A real processor answers within days 和 may send a short video without being asked twice. A desk that has to go looking for a factory will send generic images, dodge the date card, or quote first 和 worry about proof later. Treat hesitation here as data.
When the sample arrives, do 不会 judge it on a desk under office light. Wash a portion, dry it, 和 look at it wet 和 dry — both states matter, because the stone will be rained on in its final installation. Check the colour against your reference across the whole sample, 不会 just the top layer: dig into the bag 和 confirm the bottom matches the top, since colour drift within one batch is the classic white-pebble defect.
Measure the grading honestly. Pour the sample through a simple mesh or compare against a sieve reference 和 check what fraction sits outside the stated band. Confirm the dust behaviour: put a handful in clear water 和 see how cloudy it goes, because that is what the first rain will do in your customer's garden. And count the contaminants — shells, wood, clay lumps, visibly broken or heat-fractured pieces — per kilogram, so you have a number to write into the purchase specification rather than a vague adjective.
Ask directly whether the supplier washes, grades 和 packs in its own facility or sources from others, 和 then verify the answer. A live video call walking through the yard, the washing line 和 the bagging area — with the camera panning to the stock of your specific size — is the cheapest audit that exists 和 is difficult to fake on short notice. If you are ordering serious volume, a same-day in-person or third-party visit before contract is worth the fee.
Check export experience as a separate item. A factory can make excellent stone 和 still sink your first container if it has never handled export documentation, fumigation-free packaging standards or a loading plan for your port. Ask for one recent bill of lading reference (trade name redacted if needed), the ports it ships to most often, 和 who signs the export documents. Suppliers with steady exports to your region will already know the packing 和 labelling conventions your market expects.
Design the trial container so that every claim gets verified once, at the lowest sensible cost. Put the agreed specification in writing — size band 和 tolerance, colour description against the retained sample, contaminant count, moisture, bag weight 和 bag print — 和 state that the retained counter-sample held by both sides is the arbitration reference. Ask for loading photos 和 the loading plan in tonnes 和 bag counts, so you can compare what was loaded against what was invoiced.
Keep the first order at one container even if the price laddering tempts you to commit to three. One container, inspected on arrival against the written spec 和 the counter-sample, tells you everything the relationship will be. If it passes, you have earned the right to negotiate volume pricing with confidence; if it fails, the claim is small, documented 和 hard to argue with, 和 you have learned the supplier's real capability for a few hundred dollars of friction.
The final vetting step is behavioural. A supplier who quotes a suspiciously low price for 白色鹅卵石 is usually quietly changing something — mixing in crushed limestone fines, drying the grading tolerance, or quoting a smaller bag weight. A supplier who answers specification questions with a new catalogue instead of numbers is selling you a story. And a supplier who resists a written spec usually already knows which claim it cannot keep.
None of these signals alone is disqualifying, 和 plenty of good small processors are slow at email. But the pattern is readable: real suppliers get more specific as the conversation advances, because specification is their home ground. If three rounds in you know the price but 不会 the grading tolerance, the washing process or the packing weight, you are 不会 talking to the factory that will actually fill your container.
Ask for a live video walkthrough of the washing, screening 和 bagging lines with the camera panning across stock of your specific size, plus a dated photo of current yard stock. Real processors answer such requests quickly 和 specifically; intermediaries tend to send generic catalogue images, dodge the date request, or answer specification questions with pricing instead of numbers.
Judge the sample both wet 和 dry, dig below the top layer to confirm colour consistency through the batch, sieve a portion against the stated size band to check grading tolerance, drop a handful into clear water to see dust release, 和 count contaminants such as shells, clay lumps 和 broken pieces per kilogram so the specification is a number rather than an adjective.
One container. Put the full specification in writing with a retained counter-sample on both sides, require loading photos 和 a loading plan in tonnes 和 bag counts, then inspect the arrival against that spec. A passing container earns you volume pricing leverage; a failing one gives you a small, documented claim instead of a large, arguable one.
Light stone shows every defect that darker colours hide: iron staining, dust film, clay contamination 和 colour drift within a batch are all visible against a white background. That makes washing, screening 和 grading discipline decisive, 和 it is exactly the discipline that re-baggers 和 desks who buy leftovers from several yards cannot guarantee.
